show mysql_query_result with php

Hi, i have a mysql table with the fields name and categorie. on my page search.php is a search mask where the visitor can insert a miscellaneous keyword. this keyword should be the categorie. basicly, how can i handle the problem, that the visitors keyword shows an output with all the entrys in the database where the keyword=categorie or how can i make links to defined categories? i know how i can make simple queries in php but i couldn't find anything in the web for making this. thanks in advance. denis
