Hi, I'll make this short.
On the former php general list, this question has been worn out, but I figured it /may/ be worth a shot, yet again.
Have any of you guys found a single php-mode for Emacs that's worth a crap? I like the syntax highlighting in perl-mode, but it has real problems with regexps, and, yes, I realize that perl isn't php. ;-)
I.e. ereg_replace("\.[^\.]+$",".php",$file) throws everything from there down off and makes curly braces do weird stuff, when in perl-mode.
Every php-mode I've found floating around either a) has very sucky syntax highlighting or b) suffers from a brace problem. 200 lines into a script, it's a pain in the a*s to see everything turn pink and braces start wacking up against the gutter.
