I have been using php version 3 for quite awhile now and downloaded
phplib and installed it because some code I lifted off of
freshmeat.net required it. Consequently a lot of my old code no
longer works due to conflicting function names, etc. I've since
removed the prepend and include entries in php3.ini which phplib
requires.
I'm wondering if any here is using phplib? Do you actually find it
beneficial? What are the major benefits of using it?
I understand fundamentally the benefit of libraries in general from
experience with C/C++, but it seems to me that phplib isn't
ubiquitous and therefore not standardized nor is it "required" like
so many C libraries.
Can someone break it down for me. Thanks.
