Right, use it at will. Most people is more confortable with programming with only one language at a time. I use only PHP to either setup or serve my Web applications. PHP can now be used to manage GUI applications. I have written a large meta-programming compiler in PHP. All that requires PHP to be run and standalone executable from the shell.
