how do I turn off error checking in foreach() ?

here is my code, If select_array() does not find anything it will not return anything, foreach()
requires an array. I rtied putting an @ inforn of $database-> but this didnt work (didnt think it
would) and I cant put in fron of the foreach() I get a parse error.
foreach($database->select_array('', 'orders, orders_product', $query) as
$pos => $orders)
{
...
}
