well, if they did, and they made a full telnet class, then great!! give us all the class!! BUT, if they wrote their own socket listener, essentially their own protocol, then it would work. but if you are using sockets to connect to a real telnet server (as it were) then you MUST have the negotiation part. http (port 80) is just raw socket transport. telnet (port 23) is not. so, communication like you want is possible, just don't count on a real telnet connection right yet.
