Well there is one method to do this! OpenSSL ./config --prefix=/usr/local/openssl-0.9.6 --openssl=/usr/local/openssl-0.9. 6 make make test make install Mod_SSL ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mod_ssl-2.8.0-1.3.17 --with-apache=../apache _1.3.17 --with-ssl=../openssl-0.9.6 Apache ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache_1.3.17 PHP ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/php-4.0.2 --with-apache=../apache_1.3.17 --w ith-openssl=../openssl-0.9.6 --without-mysql --enable-track-vars Apache SSL_BASE=../ssl ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache_1.3.17 --enable-module=ssl --activate -module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a make make certificate (optional) make install That is all you need. Apache will automatically enable the Mod_SSL and compile it. The file path for Apache or PHP, or SSL is up to you or you can leave hte --prefix blank.
