I download the Adobe Acrobat Toolkit from Adobe site, The Adobe toolkit distribution contains 4 files for linux platform: one FdfTk.h and three different libFdfTk.so. Only one of the 3 libFdTk.so files is correct to work with php if you use the wrong file , during the configure script appears the famous error message : configure: error: fdftk module requires fdftk 2.0 but if you guess the right file , all go well. I succeeded in configuring and using (perfectly!!!) the fdf library on php 3.0.16 (appending a -lFdfTk in the MakeFile of Apache) and 4.0. But now that i need to upgrade to 4.02 a strange problem occurs: The configure script runs well, but when i launch the make command i have this strange output: gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/public/php-4.0.1/main -I/public/php-4.0.1 -I/publ ic/php-4.0.1/main -I/public/apache_1.3.12/src/include -I/public/apache_1.3.1 2/src/os/unix -I/public/php-4.0.1/Zend -I/public/php-4.0.1 -I/public/php-4.0 .1/ext/mysql/libmysql -I/public/php-4.0.1/ext/xml/expat/xmltok -I/public/php -4.0.1/ext/xml/expat/xmlparse -DXML_BYTE_ORDER=12 -g -O2 -c internal_functions.c && touch internal_functions.lo In file included form internal_functions.c:40: /public/php-4.0.1pl2/ext/fdf/php_fdf.h:40: FdfTk.h: make[2]: *** [internal_functions.lo] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/public/php-4.0.1/main' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/public/php-4.0.1/main' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 Moreover if i set a directory for the --with-fdftk option, the configure does'nt check for the fdftk support, so i must put the files in the default directory (/usr/local). Thank You for your advice.
