Forgive me if this question has been asked, but I can't download the
entire 65,000 messages in this group =). >>>> RedHat Linux 5.0 2.2.9

Can anyone enlighten me as to why:
<?php system("wvdial"); ?>
does not seem to execute, nor does it display any output? However
<?php system("who"); ?>
(or most other commands for that matter "ps aux", "ifconfig", or
whatever) WILL display output?
Any advice would be much appreciated. I am simply building a web
control panel for my proxy/dial-up server for my LAN. And I'd much
rather use PHP tan continue using the CGI script that I had to write
for this purpose.
Thank you!
