You're reading it wrong. It's not "Basic Realm" but "Authenticate:
Basic" AND "Realm=\"Your name here\""...
The first part determines the type of header, in this case a "normal"
HTTP authentication based on userid/password exchange (that is
also the only available in a satisfactory percentage of existent
browser, if I'm not wrong).
The second part give a "name" to this protected area. Often this is
presented to the user when he's asked his data: "Insert user id and
password for "Name""...
