pspell dictionary

I've just installed php with support for pspell. Pspell and aspell installed fine, and I even have a bunch of .pwli files.
Problem is that when I do:
$pspell_link = pspell_new ("en");
I get this error:
Warning: PSPELL couldn't open the dictionary. reason: I'm sorry I can't find any suitable word lists for the language-tag "en".
Somebody please help me!
