newline problem

Hello !
I am trying to extract lines from a file ,each having some fields
seperated
by a delimiter using split() function and displaying them using xml/xsl.
Some
of these lines contain HTML Tags, which I want them to be displayed as such.
for that purpose I am using CDATA from XML. But the problem I am facing is I
want them in a proper format,that some tags should come in a new line. But
whenever I open them in IE5.0 the text is shown in a continous manner. I
have
tried nl2br() function. but this will not work with CDATA. Help me out as
soon
as possible !
