Is there any way to handle errors returned by failed ODBC
Connections? I have a connection that periodically fails in PHP/Apache
to an ODBC source. The failure is on the PHP/Apache end as queries from
other sources (i.e. iSQL) on the same box continue to work when web
pages with the same queries don't. A simple restart of the apache
daemon resolves the issue, but without error handling in PHP for ODBC
connections, I have to load the page to check for errors and restart the
Apache daemon via a perl script.
Is there a tricky way of checking errors that I don't know about? When
will odbc error-checking be built into php?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Hutch Hicken
