Subject: [PHP] Stuck in the Middle
Greetings:
While moving code from one server to another, I came across this odd
error:
While taking a link from one page to another page,
the following section of my code causes a "Document contains no data.."
error.
I remain on the original page with no data being sent back to the client
for it to process.
I also add that Apache child segfaults! Jeesh!
<clip>
if (! $file=fopen ("log.txt", "a") ) {
echo ("Can't open the file ");
}
else {
$scratch="\n****************************************************************
*\n";
fputs ($file, $scratch);
fclose($file);
}
</clip>
This is php3, on a RH Linux 2.2.5-15 running a recent Apache(1.3.6). If
I take out these lines, meaning I don't attempt to open a file on the
local file system everything works fine! I have tried various file
perms, and nada!
Is this php3 or apache <directory> related?
I have this placed for the specfic directory these files are in:
"Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes MultiViews
ExecCGI"
Any help and / or pointers appreciated!
Thanks,
Christopher Allen
