Someone suggested using system("pgp 2>&1"); but all I get is: Pretty Good Privacy(tm) Version 6.5.1i (c) 1999 Network Associates Inc. Export of this software may be restricted by the U.S. government. No configuration file found. Error!!! insufficient random bits Not quite what I had in mind but a step in the right direction. Any ideas?
