Hi Dan,
maybe something like:
$newvariablethatwewantbetweenthetags = "Long variable!";
$string = preg_replace("/(<TAG>)(.*?)(<\/TAG>)/i",
\\1$newvariablethatwewantbetweenthetags\\2, $string));
There should be a " after and before the second part of that statement, but
my email proggy strips them.
