You could use the substr function to get a substring of the string. You
might need to use the strlen function to know the string's length, if it
isn't always the same.

Subject: [PHP] removing characters from beginning of string
I have the following string and I need to remove the first comma and leave
the rest of the string intact.
,"1" => array("date"=>"7/11/2000",
"author"=>"Jason Bryner"
Any ideas?
