Hi,
If you are moving to the same type of server with the same mysql
version that you could move actually the files that represent your
database.
Every database is a directory in MYSQL_INSTALL_DIR/var
and every table is 3 files in that directory.
Make sure that mysql is not running
tar.gz the whole directory
untar at the other side in the corresponding directory
and your database in there.
To make sure that every table is good you cad run a myisamchk
on every table.
If you are moving to another type server than there is the dump utility
of mysql.
I have actually recreated the database and the tables
and used select * int outfile ' '
than load data infile.
See mysql documentation if you need it at www.mysql.com

website to another server. Can anyone out there point me to some "GOOD"
documentation on this? The .php files I'm not as concerned about. I've
been using the $DOCUMENT_ROOT in all of my includes. I'm more concerned
about getting the MySQL databases ( actual files ??? ) moved over correctly.

work with PHP/MySQL enough to get some good feedback. I'd also like to hear
feedback on just your general experience with the process of moving from one
web server over to another.
