If you have 8i you can access it with the OCI functions ( 8i functions under
www.php.net/manual ).
I access it like that:
$conn = OCILogon("username", "pass", "remote_db");
If you don't have 8i installed then use
$conn = Ora_logon("username@remote_db", "pass");
