Hi good people of this mailing list/newsgroup (it does still get feeds form
both sources doesn't it?), I have been dabbling with PHP for about eight
months now, and have written several beginnings of sites that will be part
PHP, part HTML, with some kind of Database (either flat text file or mysql),
however one of the projects I have in mind is creating a public frontend to
list any audio streams running as online radio stations, on a particular
icecast server (Icecast can support multiple streams/mounts on the same
server).
The plan is to query the servers sources url from it's own admin page,
i.e
http://192.168.2.150:8000/admin?mode=sources
This produces a page that contains details of all sources, which I imagine I
could capture as an array.
I would need an array for each for each station, as well as each station
being part of what I would imagine would be a bigger array containing all
the stations ( does the last part make as little sense to you as it does to
me as I write it?) maybe a small diagram would help.
Stations
Rock station one
Genre
Admin email
url
mount point
current track
Rock station two
Genre
Admin email
url
mount point
current track
Rap station one
Genre
Admin email
url
mount point
current track
Etc for each mounted stream?
Can any one give some hints, suggestions, code snippets etc that would
innitially allow me to display the details via PHP, then as I develop this
project allow me to, select the array elements I need such as IP
address:port/mount point , to create a stream address,
write this stream address into a playlist file generated by PHP, that
selects a random mp3 format jingle/advert/promo (for my project/advertiser),
then the live address.
Can any one point me at anything vaguely like what I want to develop, or
better still some code snippets that I can examine/modify?
Thanks in advance.
