Hello all,
I'm trying to install PHP4.01pl2 as an Apache DSO under Debian 2.1 and
am having problems with apache's apxs script.
I configure PHP as follows:
/configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs
--with-pgsql=/usr/local/pgsql/
and it dies with this:
Configuring SAPI modules
checking for AOLserver support ... no
checking for Apache module support via DSO through APXS...
/configure: /usr/local/apache/bin/apxs: Permission denied
configure: error: Sorry, I cannot run apxs. Either you need to install
Perl or you need to pass the absolute path of apxs by using
--with-apxs=/absolute/path/to/apxs
/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs exists with 755 permissions.
Perl 5.004.04-7 is installed.
Can any one help me out?
Thanks,
Chris
