Hi, Is there a way to convert html entities to character? Such as if I get this string: AT&T, I want to convert it to AT&T (the reverse of the function htmlspecialchars(). The problem is that my Oracle cannot handle some sepecial character, such as accent mark. Thus, we put something like résumés and I want to convert it to: résumés. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We have the same problem, and as we divided the frontend / logical /databaseconnection in several layers, we made some converting functions in the db-object, where we do things like converting don`t to don#t. We ´ve searched several oracle sources to avoid such a convert function, but for now we didn´t find it. BTW why do you have things like special chars in your database? If you have a polyglott site, the user from the country your language will be shown, uses a browser with the correct charset. For my opinion exept of the non latin speeches, the browser supports direct output of èéöäüß... g´s Oliver
