Kyle, The problem is that you're asking this list (as well as the people on PHPBuilder.com) to -teach- you how to use PHP. That is not the intention of either of these resources. You obviously don't have prior experience programming, so you need to find a way to learn like the rest of us have. Start with simple things... File manipulation is something you should address after you have mastered the basics of the language.
