Define the height and width for each graphic, otherwise how does the browser know how to draw the screen? With height/width netscape will allocate space for the missing images and fill them in as the files complete, without - it waits until all are done before drawing to the screen. MSIE gets around that by redrawing as it learns each images characteristics after completing each image download.
