first you have to unzip your sources: gzip -vd apache*.tar.gz | tar -vxf apache*.tar gzip -vd php*.tar.gz | tar -vxf php*.tar gzip -vd mysql*.tar.gz | tar -vxf mysql*.tar then cd apache.. ./configure --prefix=/your/path/www cd .. cd mysql... ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mysql make | make install ./mysql_install_db cd .. cd php.. ./configure --with-apache=.../apache... --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-imap=/...imap --enable-track-vars make | make install cd .. cd apache.. ./configure --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a make | make install and thats all... now have fun...
