Hi Y'all:
I'm writing some documentation and want to make sure it's clear and correct.
The users need to have track_errors set. I've established a test for them
to run. If the test fails, it displays the instructions, below.
[Setting track_errors] can be accomplished in one of two ways:
php.ini
If you control your system, the easiest thing to do is set the
variable in your php.ini file. Find the line in your php.ini
file where track_errors resides and then set it to the following:
track_errors = On
.htaccess
You can set variables via the .htaccess files within each direcory
from which the SQL Solution is called. If you already have .htaccess
files, open the ones in question for editing. Otherwise, create
.htaccess files in the needed directories. Then, and add one of the
following lines, depending on which version of PHP you're running:
PHP 3: php3_track_errors on
PHP 4: php_flag track_errors on
Am I on target?
For example, the instructions assume the syntax for the php.ini files,
"track_errors = On," is the same between PHP 3 and 4. Of course, we all know
what they say about the word "assume."
Similarly, track_errors can be set in .htacces in PHP 4, right?
Any and all corrections, clarifications welcome.
Thanks,
