Hi,
I download the php-4.0.1pl2 rpm package created by Troels Arvin at
http://fsr.ku.dk/people/troels/rpms/php/ .
Very good effort by him, coz it get updated as if there is any thing new
form the php cvs. The latest built is
the php-4.0.1pl2-3.i386.rpm.
I installed it in a new installed of RedHat 6.2 and the binary installed
okay and working fine. Apache started ok and
working. I even rebuild the source rpm and it working fine. The problem
that I have is when I try to add other
module into the php package I have a few error. The first one is when I
add a oci8,pdflib and mhash or either one,
I get the error cannot load the library of the new module that I want to
add eg the oci8 lib libclntsh.so and libwtc8.so,
but the latest package from Troels, solved this and I haven't ecounter
this problem anymore. All the new module lib
are installed manually not through rpm package and I do put the lib
location (all default) /usr/local/lib and the oracle
lib /u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.6/lib path into the /etc/ld.so.conf and
run ldconfig -v.
I edit Torels php.spec and add
--with-oci8=/u01/app.oracle/product/8.1.6/lib in the build section, and
I run
rpm -ba php.spec. RPM build ok, and I installed the resulting binary
package using --nodeps coz, the resulting
package complain about cannot satisfied dependencies for libclntsh.so
and libwtc8.so, even though it there.
The first problem where apache cannot start because of cannot find the
new add module library solved by using
the latest built, but there is a new problem, where I still cannot start
apache because of this error:-
undefined symbol: mm_create.
I also installed the rebuild imap-devel-4.7-7noKerberos and the mm-1.1.3
from Troels site. When I do
nm /usr/lib/libmm.so.11 | grep mm_create I got this 000017a0 T
mm_create, so I assume that it there.
So where do I go wrong ? Any idea.....
Below is the build section from Torels php.spec that I modified. I just
add one entry to test, the oci8 module.
CFLAGS=$RPM_OPT_FLAGS \
./configure \
--prefix=/usr \
--with-apxs \
--libdir=/usr/lib/php4 \
--includedir=/usr/include \
--datadir=/usr/share/php \
--with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd \
--enable-inline-optimization \
--enable-magic-quotes \
--enable-track-vars \
--enable-memory-limit \
--enable-wddx \
--enable-sysvsem=shared \
--enable-sysvshm=shared \
--with-xml \
--with-gd=shared \
--with-ttf \
--with-ftp \
--with-readline=shared \
--with-mm \
--with-mysql=shared \
--with-ldap=shared \
--with-imap=shared \
--with-zlib \
--with-pgsql=shared \
--with-gettext=shared \
--with-oci8 \
--with-pspell=shared
Thanks for any help....
Regards
Din
