I could be way wrong here, but my guess would be that it's returning '1'
because that is what your OS is returning... if I remember right the
mail() function just opens a pipe to sendmail and returns 1 if
everything went well (according to pclose()) or 0 if it didn't.
What is the error status when you run /usr/local/turkey from the command
line?
