Regarding PHP / ODBC /Access, follow the Howto at http://www.iodbc.org/ to
get ODBC compiled in.
One choice in drivers is Openlink's ODBC Multi-Tier, which will place server
components on the Win box and client on the BSD.
After that is installed, you would:
1. configure a microsoft DSN on the Win box (called 'foo' for this example)
2. configure a DSN in the odbc.ini on the BSD box, with ServerType = ODBC,
Host = <bsd box>, Database = foo, etc.
This will give you a live piggyback on the MS driver.
Openlink's drivers are a free, non-expiring download limited to 10
concurrent database connections.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Andrew
