File Upload Problem

Hello. I have PHP 4.0 RC1 in a IIS 4.0 as ISAPI module. The variable $userfile contains the name of the file submited in the _user_ hard disk (and should contain the path to the tmp path in the server) The variables $userfile_name, $userfile_type and $userfile_size are not defined. I have correctly set the tmp_upload_dir and I have given permissions explicity to the IIS user on that directory. Is this due to my version???. Should I upgrade to the 4.0 pl2 (I try to update but I have some problems, so I return to the RC1). If it is a problem of the RC1 version I will try again to upgrade, but I want to confirm that that is the problem.
