Hi, thats exactly my opinion: PHP should become a OO language. I`m programming with PHP for 1,5 years now, and I really like it. But the big problem of using PHP is, that it isn`t a OO language. In the old days, I use C/C++, Delphi, Java and Java Script, and now I am try to use PHP. During the learning PHP, as a OOP programmer, I think that PHP should supports more OOP character. First, via $ to mark each variable, I think that is not a goog character, it will be much friendly if likes the JavaScript or the C/C++, not uses $, just directly access each variable. Second, There to much fucntions in PHP. for example, about 33 functionns in the math function lib! I think that if all this functions are encapsulated an obj, like the Java's Math class, it will be more easy to used and extends the fucntions lib. The others function libs likes the db fucntions, the internet operate functions... all can try to encapsulated into some objects. I am a chinese programmer , and my poor English is limited to express my thinkng, but I really hope the the PHP will be a good language for building future Internet world I am waiting for reply, and it is my honour to do anything for PHP.
