safe mode

If I have Safe Mode turned on in the php.ini file. Is there a way to
override this for a certion site. I add this php_admin_flag
safe_mode OFF to the httpd.conf file in the site I want safe mode
turned off on but it did not seam to work. Is there anything else I
can do to have it on for all of the other sites and off for just one
site.
