I need help. I've been beating my head against the wall. I'll end up submitting a bug report if no one replies to this. I'm getting a hard to reproduce consistently but occurs often segmentation fault in my error_log while in the middle of processing php files: [Thu Sep 27 15:27:29 2001] [notice] child pid 31046 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) I'm running on Red Hat Linux release 6.1 but I also get the problem on Red Hat Linux release 6.0. I'm using apache 1.3.20 and php 4.0.6 with the memory limit patch (even though I'm not configuring it). My php configure: ./configure --enable-debug --with-oci8 --with-apache=/usr/local/src/apache_1 .3.20 My apache configure: ./configure \ --prefix=/usr/local/apache \ --with-layout=Apache \ --enable-module=rewrite \ --activate-module=src/modules/perl/libperl.a \ --enable-module=perl \ --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a \ --enable-module=unique_id The problem occurs even when I don't include the openssl module. I have 2 different backtraces on the matter: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x406559e0 in getenv () at ../sysdeps/generic/getenv.c:101 101 ../sysdeps/generic/getenv.c: No such file or directory. Cannot access memory at address 0xd8. Notes: 1. the 2nd one occurred when I did NOT have --enable-debug on the configure line for php while the first one did. 2. I've got logging turned on to E_ALL. 3. I've installed the php.ini-dist into /usr/local/lib/php.ini. I've only changed the include_path, the upload file size and error logging values. 4. I'm losing my mind on this one. :D Any help will be appreciated.
