Hi, I would like to know if there is some way to print a report in a windows client, my server is in Linux RH 7.0 and when it reads the printer_open() function it sends a message : Call to undefined function printer_open()... I'll apreciate all help.
This is hot stuff straight out of http://uk.php.net/manual/en/ref.printer.php : These functions are only available under Windows 9.x, ME, NT4 and 2000. They have been added in PHP 4 (4.0.4). In other words, if you want to print you'll need to use a windows based server or use javascript to trigger the print functions of your user's browser. Neither of which are good solutions... why not just serve up a printerfriendly page and let the user do the hassle of clicking his/hers own print button in what ever OS/browser combination there is... -- Andreas D Landmark / noXtension Real Time, adj.: Here and now, as opposed to fake time, which only occurs there and then.
