The problem has nothing to do with PHP, because lynx
uses curses or some Ansi type library to update the
screen it will try to read the value of your TERM
variable... Cron jobs don't inherit any Environment
variables (such as TERM or PATH), so you can either
use something that doesn't need a TERM type like "wget",
or do an "export TERM=vt100" in the same crontab
script (if it's a shell script) or same line of the
crontab...
i.e.
* * * * * * export TERM=vt100;/usr/bin/lynx -dump http://xxxxxx/xxx/cron.phtml
