If it's in CVS and not on the download page, it ain't stable...
Well, it's more stable than any Microsoft product, but not stable enough for
a production environment. :-v
You can get semi-stable versions from http://snaps.php.net, but
only if you
*NEED* some feature/patch that isn't in the release.
You can get CVS, with *NO* pretensions to stability, for alpha-testing on a
development machine if you think some change is likely to break you
big-time: http://cvs.php.net
Keep in mind that the OpenSource model is very different from commercial
development, and these corresponding source code versions are thus quite
different from any seeming analogous counterparts in commercial software.
