Help processing multiple select list box

When PHP creates variables from a query string, what does it do with multiple selections from a list box? I tried to process it as an array, but apparently php did not create an array. I believe (this was several weeks ago) that only the first instance of the variable in the query string was recognized. I ended up having to parse the query string manually to get each instance of the variable=value combination. Is there an easier way? Jeff
