I can't get simple script to appear in Netscape;
- using php4
- PHP is definitely running (used telnet localhost 80 / HEAD HTTP 1.0)
which shows: 'Server: Apache/1.3.12 (Unix) PHP/4.0.0'
- checked 'AddType application/x-httpd-php .php' is added
- my file is test.php and this is the content;
<html>
<head>
<title>Example</title>
</head>
<body>
<?php echo "Hi, I'm a PHP script!"; ?>
</body>
</html>
Here's something I discovered - tell me if I'm on the right track.
I notice - AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
is within conditional brackets - like so;
<IfModule mod_mime.c>
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
lots of other entries...
</IfModule>
In other words - I imagine if if mod_mine.so dosen't exist,
(which it doesn't, although I do have mod_mime_magic.so)
the 'AddType application/x-httpd-php .php' doesn't get set, right?
I tried putting it outside of the conditions - still doesn't work.
But looking through the manual - mod_mine.so looks like
it is there for identifying the type of file names (like maybe *.php
types?)
Could this be my problem?
