First, make sure you have quote in your value, something like:
echo "<INPUT TYPE=\"HIDDEN\" NAME=\"var_name\"
VALUE=\"$value\">;
If you use INPUT TYPE=TEXT, this truncated thing should not happen if the
value is from user input.
Maybe you can send us part of the script that pass the var to see what's
wrong?
