see, the problem being as follows:- We subscribe to quite a few journals online and they require a username and password and to make it easier for our users we have to automate the damm thing.. With a single click under IP restriction they should be able to get to the thing without filling out the form on the journal's site. Now I can get them to login with a single redirect but what happens is, it leaves the URL with the username and password fields, which I could get rid of if I moved them over to the journal's home page or somehow masked the variables in the URL..
JavaScript was an option I was considering but wanted to stay away from, thanks though..

always use forms to do auth and other things where you need a pwd. on the second site, you can use hidden fields, and auto submit the form ( <body OnLoad="javascript:document.name_of_the_form.submit"> ) , so that the vars will get via "get" to the other site. maybe you need to wait 3 seconds to let the page the form load properly hope that helps. -Shepard "Ashwin Kutty" <Ashwin.Kutty@Dal.Ca> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:3BC5A1F6.40004@Dal.Ca...-- "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something." - Plato Ashwin Kutty Systems Administrator Dalhousie University Libraries (902) 494-2694Hi, I need to log a user in to another site and then move them along to that site's home page, is there any way to do two simultaneous redirects, one after the other? The point is for the user not to see the username and password in the URL. Even if I could mask the URL somehow with a fake url it would be great. Any ideas would be great.. Thanks..
