Looks like a job for CGI ... as long as the language can read environment
variables or get parameters from the command line (most modern COBOL's have
extensions to do both) and can write to the terminal (again, most modern
COBOLs can do that, too) then CGI is the easiest way to go.
If you can keep the run-time support stuck in memory _that_ would help, too!
