To embed HTML in PHP you have 2 options.
1) drop out of PHP and put variables in as <?=&var?> (= is shorthand for
echo and you dont need a ; at the end).
<?
...
php stuff here
...
?>
<tag><?=$var?></tag>
<?
....
more php stuff
...
?>
2) use echo and put \ before "
echo "<colour=\"red\">".$var."</font>".
It sounds like you need to go through a basic tutorial, or better still get
a book (Beginning PHP4 published by wrox is how I learnt most of what I know).
