Dear List,
I have installed MySQL enabled PHP 4.0.6 on WinNT 4.0 running IIS 4.0. And there is no MYSQL
directory anywhere. How do I create database? For example in Windows98 which I am using locally, I
do this:
C:\>mysql>bin mysqladmin -u root create mydb
What is the best client program for MySQL database server on NT ?
Namaste Tshering,
By default MySQL will be installed in c:\mysql (not under c:\program files)
- you can override this (but have to remember to make some changes to the c:\WinNT\my.ini file,
later).
If you use Windows' Start | Find looking for mysqld-nt.exe, and it fails, then you are lacking
a
clean MySQL installation.
You use the term "MySQL enabled PHP 4.0.6".
Are you referring to a PHP installation that includes the MySQL interface?
Have you installed a separate/additional MySQL package?
