forbidden error on apache running on win98

configured php4.06 to work on apache1.3 running on windows98. created asub folder named php in the htdocs folder of apache. 1)created test..php with the code <html> <?php phpinfo();?> </html> when i give the following URL in internetexplorer5.0 http://localhost/php/test.php it is giving following error: --------------------------------------- The page cannot be found The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable -------------------------------------------------------- 2)Then copied index.html from htdocs folder of apache and given the following URL in the browser http://localhost/php/ then the following error is displayed -------------------------------------------------------- Forbidden You don't have permission to access /php/ on this server. ------------------------------------------------------ 3)running php.exe from the php home dirctory is displaying screenfull of html code please let me know what is wrong. thanks inadvance ramajogi ----------------------------------------------------
