hi all,
I have some doubts regarding persistent database connections.I'm using
PHP4,Apache and Mysql. The manual mentions that they are more efficient
if PHP is being run as an Apache module. And also that a mysql_close()
doesnt close persistent connections. Then is there any other way of
closing the connection?Again the manual mentions that each child process
opens a persistent connection. If the no.of child processes created is
large does this affect server performance?
Thanx in advance
gautam.
