Hi, I'm new to the list.
I'm using PHP on my site to let visitors add comments to the pages, like in the annotated manual. I'm not using a database for the comments; instead, I write to files directly. I use the fopen() function to create the files, and it works: I can see the files through a browser, but for some reason I don't see them through an FTP client. I can "get" them through FTP, but they are not visible, they don't appear on the dir list. I think it's because of file permissions. Anybody knows why and how can I make them visible?
2nd question: I would like to receive a warning by email each time a user adds a comment to the site. Any free send mail script? I don't have an SMTP server on my site...
Thanks,
Jaime Iniesta
