Could you just push it slower into the nameserver? Or distribute over
multiple NS servers?

Subject: [PHP] Looking up DNS records
Hi,
I'm trying to weed out some old addresses from a huge, old subscriber's
list. Right now I have a script pulling 100 e-mail addresses, doing a
thorough Regex->DNS->MX->SMTP Socket validation on each one. However,
the
DNS and MX record lookups are killing my name server since there are so
many
of them and I can't specify a different name server to use for looking
up
these things.
In any case:
1) Does anyone have a pre-written, better function for looking up DNS
and MX
records?
2) If not, how could I create my own (I'm not sure what information I
need
to retrieve for validation)
