Friend, Prepare yourself for at least a 500 Megabyte download. I did this and did not get very far. Then some kind person told me that the Apache executable will be huge after I compile in the Oracle stuff anyway. Oracle is certainly great, but damn... who has time for this bazarre method of install. Oh by the way, the Oracle Linux install requires Java runtime and some other Java thing I know I will never need for anything else. Plus it needs an X-Window I think. So much for a nice efficient shell based remote install to a server machine. Needless to say, I have postponed Oracle/PHP for another day.
