Hello all, I have a script with a strange problem that maybe someone has seen before. The script runs a query that returns several thousand rows and builds a table. The problem is that the _second_ time it loads (after clicking on a link to sort by one of the columns), the page never quite finishes reloading. All of the data is visible, and the </HTML> tag even makes it to the browser, but the browser continues to act as if the page were downloading (spinning icon, hourglass, etc). Subsequent reloads act in the same manner until I close the browser and start over. I'm using 4.0.1pl2 on RedHat 6.1/Apache 1.3.12. The browser is I.E 5 (perhaps this is the problem). Any ideas? Are you saying that you're trying to display a several-thousand row table, all on one page? I'm not surprised the browser is having problems! Internet Exploer, in my experience, seems to handle big tables (& bad table syntax) better than Netscape, but you might be exceeding even IE's capacity. At the very least, try splitting this table into several separate tables. Or, set it up to allow paging through the results. -steve +--- unix and cats: -----------------------------------------------------+
