Not too sure which I need to pursue -
I have a script that uses the mail() function. On my windoze box, I don't
have the problem, but I understand why I don't. On the linux box, I
sometimes get a legitimate address rejected because the routine does a
lookup of the mx-rr.domain.com of the e-mail address. When it doesn't find
an mx record, it rejects it with a 501 error. Windoze doen't use the mx
lookup, so it attempts to send the email and it works.
My question is this: How do I tell the mail() (or sendmail) not to do the
mx record validation? Thanks.
